How To Do The Relaxation Response

The “Relaxation Response,” a term coined by Dr Herbert Benson years ago, is an extremely easy and beneficial practice. Be sure to check out my article on using it to kill stress.  Dr. Benson gives some convincing arguments for its use.

I grew up with an anxiety disorder.  By the time I was a young adult, it was ruling my life.  There was one period of time when I was afraid to go out of my house because I was having panic attacks so often and seemingly out of the blue.  They could come on when I was driving, at a party or simply having a conversation.

Dr. Bensons’s work was one of the God-sends of my life.
